We provide high quality education for children ages 3-6, which serves the whole child by
implementing the educational methods of Dr. Maria Montessori.
It is our intent to build a solid foundation on which each child can
continue to develop with grace and nurture their innate love of learning.
We are a 5 days a week school.
Our hours are from 8:30-3:00, with both before and after school options.
We start in early August, with a few students attending each day for 2 weeks. The returning oldest children (our 3rd year students) arrive on the first day, our youngest children (our 1st year students) arrive over the next 4-5 days, and our returning students (our 2nd year students) arrive after that.
Tuition: $8,350.00. This can be paid in full or in 10 monthly installments of $835.00.
Before Care: 8:00-8:30 $5/day
Half Extended Work Day: 3:16-4:30 $10/day
Full Extended Work Day 3:16-5:45 $20/day
Peace education is the hidden curriculum in Montessori education. At Village Montessori, we have created a unique environment in which our students build a sense of responsibility towards self, others and the world around them. Each day opportunities arise organically for practicing social graces, resolving disagreements and finding inner peace.
Numerous studies have shown that children who spend extended periods of time outdoors everyday function better both academically and emotionally.
At Village, we believe there is no such thing as bad weather, just poor clothing. Our students benefit from a healthy dose of fresh air each school day. There is a natural playground behind the school house where children are allowed the freedom to develop their gross motor skills and experiment with social nuances. Our students love using the slackline, climbing the big tire, swinging on the rope swing, climbing through the rope tunnel and making various obstacles using balance beams. In addition, our sandbox creates a full-on sensory experience by including a water trough, an excavator, a funnel shelf and numerous digging tools. It isn't uncommon to hear a child shout "let's build a dam!"
We also go on three nature hikes at Holliday Park (fall, winter & sprinkg) to soak in the changes of weather and soothe our sense of adventure.
